Summary
Chromatic 3D Materials is a 3D-printing technology start-up with an international presence. Hoping to gain traction in the apparel sector — a very different market than its existing industrial and medical customers — Chromatic challenged MacAllen Media to find a way to create buzz. We initiated a collaboration with Anouk Wipprecht, a Dutch high-tech fashion designer known for integrating technology and art.
The project showcased the commercial potential of Chromatic’s 3D-printing materials, earned significant media coverage, and made the company the talk of Formnext, the largest annual event in the 3D printing industry.

Strategy
Understanding the importance of aligning with a reputable designer, we identified and researched potential collaborators. Ultimately, we connected our client with acclaimed FashionTech designer Anouk Wipprecht. This partnership highlighted the innovative potential of Chromatic's ChromaFlow 70™, blending art with cutting-edge technology. The strategy successfully positioned the company at the forefront of the tech-infused fashion realm, showcasing the adaptability and artistic possibilities of their products in a high-profile setting at Formnext 2023.
Digital Media
In anticipation of Formnext, MacAllen Media launched an extensive digital campaign to amplify the collaboration. The campaign included a strategically timed press release and targeted paid digital media advertisements, creating buzz and raising awareness about the collaboration. This digital outreach not only heightened anticipation for the event but also ensured that the innovative partnership was a focal point of Chromatic 3D Materials' presence at their Formnext booth, attracting significant attention from attendees and industry professionals.
Landing Page
We created two distinct landing pages, each serving a unique purpose. The event landing page, designed for the Formnext trade show, showcased content including MacAllen Media custom graphics, and professional photographs of the dress, highlighting the collaboration's innovation. Simultaneously, the collaboration-specific landing page offered an in-depth look at the partnership, featuring exclusive video interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and detailed insights into the technology and design process behind the unique 3D printed dress.

Event Support
At Formnext, MacAllen Media provided comprehensive event support to maximize the impact of Chromatic’s presence. The booth was designed with custom graphics to reflect the innovative spirit of the collaboration, creating an engaging and informative space for visitors. We also developed a range of printed literature and materials, ensuring that attendees left with a deep understanding of the technology and its potential applications in multiple industries.
